On February 19, Mountbatten-Windsor was taken into custody on suspicion of sharing confidential documents with Epstein when he was in office. He is currently being investigated for misconduct in public office and has denied all accusations. Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were allegedly "blindsided" by their father's arrest. The two sisters were banned from this year's Royal Ascot last week due to their parents' connections to Epstein.
Neither Princess Eugenie nor her sister Princess Beatrice has commented on Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest. While Princess Eugenie is mentioned multiple times in the Epstein files, she has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein. Princess Eugenie is additionally a co-founder of another charity, the Anti-Slavery Collective. As Princess Eugenie's possible financial ties to Epstein spark questions, the Charity Commission confirmed it is "assessing concerns" about the collective.
Other patrons of Anti-Slavery International include Dame Judi Dench, Baroness Helena Kennedy, Baroness Lola Young, broadcaster Julie Etchingham, Hugh Quarshie and Vanita Patel.
